Puts a profile you exported earlier back into the store, from a folder on this computer. It copies encrypted objects; nothing here opens your data, and your passphrase is used only to work out which profile the objects belong to.
The folder your export wrote — the one containing
manifest.json — and the profile’s name and passphrase. They are the same
pair the profile already uses; this does not create a new one.
You do not need your 12-word recovery code here. It is only ever needed on the phone, when adding a profile to new hardware.
Everything in the folder is encrypted, and nothing in it opens without your passphrase. Two things to know anyway: the pointer files identify this profile to our servers, and anyone holding the folder can try passphrases against it offline, without the limits our servers apply. So the folder is exactly as strong as your passphrase — keep it where you would keep financial records.
An export does not carry your plan or any unspent credit. Those stay with the profile on our servers and are not in the folder.
When the copy finishes, the verify message is what tells you it worked — not the sign-in. If a sign-in ever comes up empty afterwards, do not create the profile again: that would seal an empty profile over the copy you just put back.
